This programme gives you the opportunity to spend five days on site with a mentoring professor from the host university. The applications for short-term mobilities is now open for the period from September 2024 to February 2025.

The programme enables students to carry out an individual research stay of max. five days at a FORTHEM university. Students have to organise their stay themselves, from finding a mentoring professor to organising their travel and accommodation.

Here are some examples of eligible projects:

  • Field work
  • Experimentation
  • Research for a thesis (Bachelor, Master or PhD)
  • Form new ties with a student association at a FORTHEM university

Participating students need to be enrolled as degree students in one of the FORTHEM partner universities, both during the application period and during the mobility period.

Students can apply for a maximum of one individual mobility programme and one collective mobility programme or two collective mobility programmes – students selected for the individual mobility programme will also be able to attend one collective mobility. The number of places for individual short-term mobility stays is limited to approximately 4 participants per university per year. Students who have never participated to a FORTHEM short-term mobility will be prioritized. Each university is responsible for selecting their students, depending on the quality of their application.
