We are pleased to inform you about our university’s summer course which will start in August 2021 (https://summer.uni-mainz.de/online-summeruni-mainz/). Due to the ongoing pandemic, this International German Language Course will be offered online this year, but hopefully face-to-face again in 2022.
To enhance the cooperation between our universities and to encourage your students to come to Mainz, it is our pleasure to announce one scholarship for this year’s International German Language Course which covers all fees of the virtual program.
We invite you to select qualified students who are interested in Germany, its culture and its language, and to nominate them for the course. Students from all levels, from beginners to advanced learners wishing to improve their language skills, are eligible. The program this year will include courses from level A1 through C2 – a placement test in July will allocate courses to the participants.
To register your candidate both for the course and the scholarship, the following steps are necessary:
- Please send your nominee’s name before May 01, 2021 to summer@uni-mainz.de and santander@uni-mainz.de – and please copy your nominee into your mail, as they will need to upload this nomination in their registration for the scholarship.
- Please ask your nominee to register for the course at https://summer.uni-mainz.de/german-language-school/registration/ by May 01, 2021.
- Please ask your nominee to complete their registration for the summer course by signing up for the scholarship at https://www.becas-santander.com/de/program/santander-scholarships-sprachen-summer-school-online-at-jgu-2021 (prior registration required to access the link). This additional enrollment is essential for providing the scholarship. The deadline for the scholarship registration is June 02, 2021 (no extensions possible, sorry). To complete the scholarship registration, each student needs to upload the following documents:
— proof of the requisite registration for this summer course at JGU
— proof of your nomination for this summer course.
If you have any questions or concerns about the course, feel free to contact Ms. Iris Thimm-Netenjakob at summer@uni-mainz.de
