FORTHEM Alliance labs’ on Experiencing Europe and Diversity & Migration winter school launched. Entitled ‘Belonging and Non-Belonging in Europe’ it takes place on Feb 21-25 at the Jyvaskyla University in Finland and covers migrants and European values. Students from all alliance partner universities take part in it, and the sociologists from the University of Opole contribute to the program. Prof. Robert Geisler of the Institute of Political Science and Administration gives the keynote lecture on Monday, 21.02. at 11.15am entitled ‘European Identity – Stories about Europeanisation’, and dr. Michał Wanke of the Department of Cultural Studies together with Clara Kleininger of the Department of Sociology conduct a workshop, ‘Making Sense of Migration Experience With Visual Materials’. Prof. Geisler will also lead a workshop on ‘Regionalism and Regional Diversity in the EU/Europe’.
