The results of the international FORTHEM civc engagement project on body positivity are now available.

As part of FORTHEM’s activities, various projects are created in the course of which scientific knowledge is popularized or transformed into activities that have an impact on society. An example of such an international project is “Body Positivity – Against Body Shaming”, under which scientists and students from the University of Opole and the University of Valencia, as well as schools and foundations cooperating with them, jointly developed information and promotional materials on body positivity. Thanks to the FORTHEM Alliance, the project results will be disseminated to the partner regions.

Materials in the form of posters, infographics, presentations and videos in various language versions were created in the summer semester 2021/2022. They were handed over to school teachers and presented on campuses. At the UO, examples of posters and compositions can be seen at the exhibition on the second floor of Collegium Maius from May to October 2022.

The projects were co-financed by the Erasmus + fund as part of the FORTHEM Outreach mission. The activities were coordinated at the UO by dr hab. Katarzyna Molek-Kozakowska, UO professor (Institute of Linguistics), with the participation of Dr. Mateusz Szubert (Department of Culture and Religion), Jędrzej Olejniczak, MA (Department of English Language) and Michalina Barczyk (MLA).
