The fifth FORTHEM Campus is organised by the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and takes place during the autumn semester 2023.

The theme of the exchange semester is Multilingualism, which will be approached through the disciplines of Languages, Communication, Education and Social Sciences.

What is a FORTHEM Campus?

FORTHEM Campus is a semester-long Erasmus+ -funded student exchange that the FORTHEM Alliance partners host on a rotating principle. Each FORTHEM Campus has a different theme which corresponds with the FORTHEM Lab that the hosting university leads. FORTHEM campus offers courses in three different modules in different areas of knowledge and eligible for recognition.

Who can apply for the JYU FORTHEM Campus?

  • You can apply to the FORTHEM Campus organised by the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) if your home university is a member of the FORTHEM Alliance, and
  • You study either of the following disciplines: Languages, Intercultural Communication, Education and Social Sciences, and
  • You are a Bachelor’s or Master’s level student

When does the JYU FORTHEM Campus take place?

FORTHEM Campus takes place during the autumn semester, 2023. The recommended arrival date is 28 August as the autumn semester starts with a four-day orientation programme for international students on 29 August. Courses and exams end by 15 December 2023.

How to apply?

You should first apply through your home university to be nominated to the FORTHEM Campus semester. See the contact details of your FORTHEM Office here

After your home university has nominated you, you will receive the link and instructions for the application form. Please apply by 1 June 2023.
